Sukhrit Kaur
Graduate Student
About Me
Hey there! Thanks for visiting my website.
I am Sukhrit Kaur, a graduate student at the University of Oxford. Education has always been a big part of my life, and I have first-hand witnessed the power that a good teacher has on the trajectory of a human’s life.
This made me want to become a teacher ever since I remember.
In parallel, I have also been interested in the fringe movements surrounding my religion, and also took an academic lens to it in my undergraduate dissertation.
I am currently studying African History at Lady Margaret Hall, and am planning to write my graduate thesis in that field. I find the research process extremely satisfying, and I love to trade notes with fellow students from different fields.
My Bookshelf
I am a recovering Netflix addict, and spend most of my free time these days reading in one the gardens or parks surrounding the campus.
Currently, I’m revisiting one of my favourite childhood novels, Alice in Wonderland, and reading the eye-opening book by Shoshana Zuboff titled The Surveillance Economy.
